Responsibilities :
– Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including curriculum development, programme co-ordination and fieldwork
– Supervise postgraduate students at Honours, Master’s and Doctorate level
– Conduct original research in fields that complement existing areas of departmental interest (social complexity, material science, Iron Age archaeology)
– Contribute to the development and management of the archaeology collections, and/or supervision of laboratory research/ facilities
– Publish research in accredited, peer-reviewed journals
– Academic administration and other duties as determined by the Head of Department
Minimum requirements :
– Doctorate in Archaeology or closely-related discipline
– Research and publication track record
– Relevant fieldwork/collections/laboratory experience
– Teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including appropriate postgraduate supervision
– Appropriate language and communication skills
– Good interpersonal and mentoring skills.
