Diachronies alimentaires en milieu insulaire et continental : Impact de l’environnement naturel et économique & déterminants socio-culturels
Anthropologue de la paléoalimentation, mes activités de recherche ont pour objectifs (1) d’explorer les relations entre les hommes et leur environnement au travers de questions reposant sur l’adéquation entre les ressources disponibles et le type d’aliment consommé ou entre le type d’aliment consommé et l’état sanitaire et (2) de cerner les facteurs intervenant dans le choix des aliments (traditions culturelles, statut social, progrès techniques et/ou médicaux, évènements économiques).
Méthodes : Bio-archéologiques (anthropologie, paléo-épidémiologie), approche isotopique par inférence sur des référentiels (animal/végétal) locaux et contemporains des séries ostéoarchéologiques
Techniques : Préparation des fractions organiques et minérales (os, dent, poil, graines) en vue de l’analyse des isotopes stables traditionnels (δ13C δ18O, δ15N, δ34S) + purification du Sr et du Ca (87Sr/86Sr, δ44/42Ca)
