5. Pivoting Incision

The pivoting incision is an incision of an instrument featuring at least 2 teeth: one end is used as a swivel while the other cuts into the fabric leaving a semi-circular shape (See the caliper).
The different types of pivoting incision result from the combination of one or 2 swivel(s) within the motif :
Modality A
Modality A+(B)
Modality A+B reflection
Modality A+B superposition.
Pivoting Incision modality A
Pivoting incision of a tool featuring at least 2 teeth with one end used as a swivel and the other drawing a semi-circle in the clay.
Pivoting Incision modality A+(B)
A incision around swivel A, with a pivoting movement around swivel B and then another incision around swivel A, etc.
Pivoting Incision modality A+B reflection
Pivoting incision of a tool featuring at least 2 teeth and with both ends used alternately to form 2 opposite lines of semi-circles.
