Two junior scientist positions in physical anthropology

[Emplois, bourses, prix]

à partir de janvier 2014
Leipzig - Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology

The Department of Human Evolution of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig (Germany) invites applications for two post-doctoral junior scientist positions in Physical Anthropology. In the department, palaeoanthropological research is conducted within a multidisciplinary environment involving three main groups of scientists : biological anthropologists, Palaeolithic archeologists, and archaeological scientists/geochronologists.

More information about the Department of Human Evolution can be found at
http://www.eva.mpg.de/evolution.

The department encourages unique and innovative research projects, particularly, but not exclusively, those related to :
A) the locomotion and biomechanics of plio-pleistocene hominids
B) dental microstructures and primate life histories.

These research positions will begin in January, 2014. The initial length of the appointment is two years, with an option for extension.
The selected candidate will have a Ph.D. and a significant track record of research. The Max Planck Society is committed to employing more physically impaired individuals and to increasing the share of women in areas where they are underrepresented, and therefore expressly encourages applications from such qualified individuals.
